Two different things, and only one of them is about you paying us.
Stripe does two jobs in a product like this. One is how Frontiva bills you for your plan, which is built and not switched on yet. The other is taking deposits from your customers on your behalf, which is neither.
What works today
- Your invoices and payments appear on your Billing screen, with a link to the Stripe-hosted invoice and its PDF.
- Checkout happens on Stripe's own pages, so your card details go to Stripe and never reach Frontiva. We hold the card brand and last four digits, which is what a receipt shows, and nothing else.
- One-off payment requests, for things a plan does not cover such as a setup fee, arrive by email with the amount and what it is for stated before the button.
- Every message Stripe sends us is signature-checked and processed once, so a redelivered notification cannot record your payment twice.
What's next
Switching billing on. Everything above is built and idle until Frontiva connects its own Stripe account and plans have published prices, so there is nothing on your Billing screen today. Then: switching plans from the Billing screen yourself. Taking deposits from YOUR customers is a different Stripe product (Connect) and a separate piece of work: today the Bookings deposit policy is shown to a customer but never charged, and the Bookings page says so.
Frequently asked questions
Does Frontiva see my card number?
No. You enter it on a page hosted by Stripe. We are told the brand and the last four digits, which is what appears on a receipt so you can tell two cards apart, and nothing more.
Can I take deposits from my own customers through this?
Not yet. That needs Stripe Connect and an account of your own, and it is a separate piece of work. The deposit amount on your Bookings page is shown to customers but is not charged.
Connect Stripe when you're ready.
Start free - channel connections are configured per organization from Settings once you're signed up.
