Email
Your mailbox, in the shared inbox.
Frontiva connects to the mailbox you already have over ordinary IMAP and SMTP. Nothing moves provider, nothing is marked read behind your team's back, and replies go back out from the address the customer wrote to.

What works today
- Connect any IMAP and SMTP mailbox with an address, a password, and the two hostnames your provider publishes. Test the connection before you rely on it.
- Watch one folder rather than everything, so the filters you already have decide what reaches the team.
- New mail becomes an ordinary conversation on an ordinary contact, with the same tags, assignment, notes and timeline as text messages.
- Replies send through the same mailbox with the thread's headers, so they land under the original in the customer's mail client, and with a reply address that points back at the folder being watched.
- Conversations are filed by topic (sales, support, billing, legal, security, privacy, abuse, partnerships) from the address they were sent to. A person can move one, and a later reply never moves it back.
- Attachments are listed by name, type and size; the files stay in your mailbox.
- Machine mail (out-of-office replies, bounces, list traffic) is skipped, and every message is matched on its Message-ID so nothing is recorded twice.
What's next
OAuth connections for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, so a mailbox can be connected without an app password. Attachment storage and AI replies on this channel are deliberately not planned yet: attachments are a retention question, and the agent has no email skills, so mail arriving here waits for a person.
