Know how many will actually get it, before you send.
Email your customers with the compliance handled: the address, the unsubscribe, and an honest count of who is really reachable. Email only, for now - text campaigns need consent we do not capture.
How it works
Choose who it goes to
Filter by lifecycle stage and tags. Two numbers come back as you type: how many people match, and how many of those can actually be emailed. The gap is itemised - no address on file, unsubscribed, marked do-not-contact - so you know what you are looking at before you write a word.
Write it once, send yourself a test
Your business name, postal address and a one-click unsubscribe are added to every message, so you do not write them and cannot forget them. The test goes to your own address, and does not count as a send.
Approve, and it goes
Approving is what sends it: there is no second button to forget. The recipient list is frozen at that moment, and everyone who was going to be emailed is written down, so afterwards you can say exactly who received it and who did not.
The honest number
The count beside the send button is the count that gets emailed, not the count that matched your filter.
Compliance you cannot forget
Address and unsubscribe go on every message automatically, and a campaign without an address will not send.
A record per person
Sent, failed or skipped with the reason - so "I never got it" has an answer.
- A live eligible count while you choose the audience, with the reasons for the gap
- Personalise with a first name, and choose what people with no name on file read instead
- Postal address and one-click unsubscribe on every email, added for you
- A test send to yourself that is not counted as a send
- Every recipient re-checked at the moment their own email goes out, not just at approval
- A row per recipient: sent, failed, or skipped with the reason in plain words
- Results grouped by reason, worst first, plus how many people replied, opted out or booked in the fortnight after
- Who clicked, which link they clicked, and how many clicks in total, with the counting off in one switch
- Test a second subject or message on a share of your list, with a winner named only when the clicks can support one
- Repeat a campaign every week or every month, with the list worked out again on the day it goes
- Export the same audience for Meta or Google ads as hashed email addresses, with anyone who unsubscribed left out of the file
- Approved campaigns cannot be edited or deleted, because the record is the answer to a complaint
- Who approved it, and for how many people, in your audit log
Frequently asked questions
Can I put the customer's name in the email?
Yes, with {{first_name}}, and you decide what the people with no name on file read instead. That matters more than it sounds: a customer who first reached you by text is often just a phone number, so a plain {{first_name}} would leave a hole in the sentence. Before you send, the screen tells you how many of your recipients have a name and shows you the exact wording the rest will get. A field we cannot fill in is refused rather than mailed, so nobody receives an email addressed to {{first_name}}.
Can I send text message campaigns?
No, and not because it is unbuilt. A marketing text needs express written consent, and the consent this product captures covers appointment messages only - confirmations, reminders and changes. Sending marketing to those numbers would be using consent for something it was never given for, so we refuse it rather than leave it to you to get right. Email campaigns are sent on an opt-out basis, which is what US law allows for email.
Can I see who clicked?
Yes. Links in a campaign go through Frontiva on their way out, so each campaign tells you how many people clicked, how many clicks there were altogether, and which of your links they were on. The number of people comes first for a reason: some mail providers open every link in a message to check it before anybody reads it. We do not count the ones that say so, and we cannot spot the rest, so the total can be higher than the number of people and a count of people cannot be inflated past one each. You can switch the counting off on any campaign, and then your links go out exactly as you wrote them.
Does Frontiva tell me which subject line won?
Only when your numbers can support an answer, which is less often than you would like. You can send a second version to a share of your list, and both versions are scored on clicks. A winner is named when the difference is big enough that it would happen by chance less than five times in a hundred, and when there are at least thirty people and ten clicks to judge it on. Below that the screen says there is no winner yet and what is missing, because on a list of a few hundred the difference between six clicks and nine is a quiet week rather than a better subject.
Why does it say 412 match but 380 can be emailed?
Because thirty-two of them cannot be: they have no email address on file, they have unsubscribed, or somebody marked them do-not-contact. You see that before you send rather than afterwards, and each reason is counted so you can fix the ones that are fixable.
What happens if somebody unsubscribes after I approve it?
They do not receive it. The audience is frozen at approval so the number you approved is the number you agreed to, but every recipient is checked again in the instant before their own message is sent. The first check is a promise to you; the second is a promise to them.
Why can I not edit a campaign after approving it?
Because some of it may already have gone out. Editing the subject afterwards would mean two different emails went to your customers under one name, with only the second one on record - and that record is what answers a complaint.
Do I have to add my postal address?
Yes, and a campaign will not send without one. Every marketing email is legally required to carry the sender's physical address. We check for it when you approve rather than halfway through the send, so it fails once and loudly instead of leaving half your list emailed.
