An AI front desk for pest control companies
How a pest control company uses an AI front desk to capture what the customer saw and where, confirm the service area, prioritise the urgent calls, book inspections and run quarterly service, without promising what dispatch has not confirmed.

A pest control company's AI front desk answers every call and text immediately, captures what the customer saw and where in the home, confirms the address is in your area, flags the urgent ones (stinging insects, rodents inside, bed bugs) for a person, and books the inspection or treatment against your technicians' routes. It does not identify the pest, name the product, or promise same-day service that dispatch has not confirmed.
Urgent to them, routine to you
A customer who found droppings in the pantry wants someone today. To the office it is a routine inspection. The AI resolves that gap by answering in seconds, taking the details a technician needs, and booking the earliest real slot, so the customer feels dealt with and the office is not interrupted. The genuinely urgent cases are flagged for a person.
The four questions
Address or ZIP. What they saw and where. House or business, own or rent. Children or pets in the home. Those four decide whether you can help, how soon, and what the technician needs to know. The AI asks them in conversation and puts the answers on the record.
Service area first
Loaded by ZIP. The AI checks before offering a time. Outside the area, a polite no and the details captured. No technician drives forty minutes to a property you do not cover.
Priority for the urgent ones
Wasps or hornets near a door, rodents inside, a bed bug report, a termite swarm, or anything with a child or vulnerable person mentioned: flagged and routed to a person, who decides on same-day service. The AI tells the customer a person is looking now rather than promising a time it cannot keep.
Quarterly service
Recurring visits are scheduled, reminded by text, and rescheduled by text. A customer who wants to move the quarterly because of a holiday does it in two messages. Renewal reminders go out before the plan lapses.
Termite and real estate inspections
Closing dates make these time-sensitive. The AI captures the closing date, who the report goes to, and the property details, and books the inspection to land before the deadline. Missed closing deadlines are the expensive failure this prevents.
What it does not do
Identify a pest from a description or a photo. Say what product will be used or whether it is safe for a particular pet, beyond your approved wording. Promise same-day service without a person confirming dispatch. Quote a treatment price that depends on the inspection.
Frequently asked questions
Can it tell a customer what pest they have?
No. It captures the description and location and books an inspection. Identification is the technician's job.
Does it know which ZIP codes we cover?
Yes, once the service area is loaded. Outside it, it says so and captures details rather than booking.
How does it handle an emergency at night?
The after-hours text says when you reopen and, for a stinging insect or rodent emergency, follows the escalation you set up for your on-call technician.
What Frontiva does here
The pest control page shows the workflows. In Frontiva today the AI answers from your approved facts, new enquiries become scored leads with an owner, and inspections can be booked on your public booking page. Missed call text back is built but not yet available, because phone number provisioning has not shipped. For the estimate-versus-price boundary, see AI receptionist for HVAC and plumbing.
